  It's super crowded during the evenings and weekends. We had a 30 minute wait but it was so so worth it.
  First of all the money everywhere adds lots of character to the place. You feel like you're in a completely different place. My waitress was great, I can't remember her name but she was sweet and had a girlfriend so we felt really relatable to her.
  I was told that they're famous for their steaks so I had to try one, it was so good I ended up skipping the fireworks on the beach to enjoy the steak (that says a lot) the bread was so good I had to ask for more to take home and it looks like a mini loaf of bread. My girlfriend got the shrimp pasta. I also had Irish fries which remind me of steak fries but that steak was juicy and flavorful I took it home on an 8 hour drive home and ate it when I made it home because I didn't want to let it go to waste. That says a lot. Also the chilled root beer is really tasty and comes in a chilled mug. Love love this place. There's also a gift shop, we bought a really cool shot glass made from the top of a beer bottle, we also got several magnets that double as bottle openers, and a really cool silicone cup that bends lol

  What can I say about McGuire's Irish Pub except... WOW. From the extremely generous happy hour prices (and pours) to the delicious hickory smoked 16 oz prime rib, I've never been to a steakhouse/pub where amazing quality was there and I didn't have to break the bank!
  
  Paul is an excellent server and should get a promotion! He was lively, informative, and was down to play along with our large party. He was such a delight and he will NOT disappoint. I didn't even end up eating dinner last night because my server misheard my order and then proceeded to get it wrong a second time. Paul got my order squared away THE FIRST TIME AROUND, and asked my party if we wanted to get some last minute HH drinks (a few minutes before HH was over). My group was extremely appreciative of that. He was also quick to come by to assist at a moment's notice, and asked us multiple times if we needed anything else. That's a server that deserves an award... or like I said... a promotion.
  
  I'm sad to be leaving, but I'll be recommending McGuire's (and Paul) to anyone who travels to Destin. Or Florida in general. Just make the 6+ hour drive from southern Florida and come here! You will NOT regret it! There's no way you will have better steak or better service than McGuires (.... and Paul).

  Mcguires is the best for place ever. It's fun inside, the food is so good with melt in your mouth steak. We almost ate here two nights in a row during our vacation but my mom really wanted Thai the last night.
  
  They have Irish food & steaks. I finally tried their beer, which I'm not a dark beer fan but my boyfriend loved their red. I had the sausage plate, I don't remember the exact name of it but it has a sample of sausages, sauerkraut and potato salad but it comes with a free house beer for $17. Awesome deal if you ask me!
  
  We also had the mahi, filet, prime rib with garlic, and strip steak. We got a giant pretzel to go for later & its the bigger than your face kind.
  
  We had boxtys which are fried mashed potatoes with cheese and so good. Oh and we tried the bean soup this time because it's $0.18! It's their special thing & the soup is actually really good.
  
  Literally everything on the menu is good & the service is good. They had a guy coming around making balloon animals for tips - so cute.
  
  We also had the strawberry martini (like a spiked milkshake!) & Irish wake (classic).
  
  Mcguires is a place you kinda just have to try at least once if you're in Destin.

  A Destin must eat. There is Limited tight free parking or public parking for a fee. Dinner hours are PACKED with patrons and there can be a lengthy wait. Upstairs, downstairs, rooftop bar with dining area, multiple dining rooms.....the place is huge and cavernous! The menu is large and comprehensive. Dollar bills hang everywhere, supposedly $1,000,000 worth of $1 bills.
  
  Main entree's are pricey @ $30-$40. Secondary entree's area little cheaper @ $11-$24. I started with their "18 cent" bowl of Senate Bean Soup. Absolutely delicious in a good size bowl. No gimmicks here, just good bean soup.
  
  The bread is outstanding! I had the Pasta Rustica entree that comes with grilled chicken, smoked ham, Italian sausage and roasted red peppers in a creamy cheese sauce with cork screw pasta topped with Parmesan cheese. It was delicious.
  
  I was a impressed with the overall experience. Our waitress "Ashley" got our food orders correct but had a very difficult time separating the multiple checks at the end of the meal. I highly recommend McGuires during your next visit to Destin or Ft Walton.

  On Tuesdays double shot martinis are half price...wahoo!!  Bread was delicious.  Bean soup was good.  We had the steak and mushroom pie - which was good, but rich.  Also had the corned beef and cabbage....corned beef was good, but the cabbage and other vegetables didn't have much flavor.  Our waitress was awesome.  The portions are very large.  Next time I think I would try a burger or the Rueben.
